Product Overview
The Fruit of the Loom 65/35 Polo is a staple of professional workwear, engineered for those who require a garment that can withstand the rigours of daily use without compromising on appearance. This polo shirt is designed with a classic fit, providing a smart and reliable silhouette suitable for various industries. Its standout feature is its resilience in the laundry, specifically its ability to maintain performance even after repeated high-temperature washes, making it a practical choice for demanding environments.
Key Features
High-Temperature Laundering: This garment is guaranteed to perform at a 60°C wash, which is essential for removing stubborn stains and ensuring a hygienic finish in healthcare or hospitality settings.
Structural Integrity: Twin needle stitching on the shoulders and hem provides reinforced strength at the seams, ensuring the polo maintains its shape and does not fray under physical stress.
Professional Detailing: The three-button placket with self-coloured buttons and a ribbed flat knit collar and cuffs offer a cohesive and neat appearance that lasts throughout the working day.
Enhanced Comfort: A taped neckline covers the raw seams, preventing skin irritation and helping the collar area retain its shape over time.
Design & Performance
Constructed from a medium-weight blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton, this polo shirt offers the perfect balance between durability and breathability. The polyester fibres provide excellent colour fastness and crease resistance, meaning the garment stays looking fresh even during long shifts. Meanwhile, the cotton content ensures a soft handle against the skin and allows for natural airflow.
The fabric is substantial enough to feel protective and high-quality, yet it remains comfortable enough for active roles. Because it is an "easy-care" garment, it requires minimal maintenance to keep it in professional condition, making it a reliable asset for any uniform programme.
Customisation: Print & Embroidery
The stable, well-engineered fabric of the 65/35 Polo makes it an ideal candidate for both print and embroidery. For a superior finish that conveys authority and permanence, we recommend embroidery for your company logo or staff names. The medium-weight weave supports dense stitching, ensuring your branding remains crisp and professional.
For larger, high-impact designs such as event branding or back-prints, our printing services provide a bold and clear result. Every piece of customisation is handled by our expert team in Telford, who have been perfecting their craft since 1976, ensuring your workwear arrives exactly as specified.
Use Cases
This polo shirt is exceptionally versatile. Its high-temperature wash capability makes it a primary choice for healthcare assistants and hospitality staff where hygiene is critical. It is equally suited for retail environments, warehouse teams, and general tradespeople who need a uniform that can take a beating and still look the part. With a size range reaching up to 5XL, it is a practical solution for outfitting entire workforces.

Practical Advice
This garment features a classic fit that is true to size. For individuals in highly active roles, the sizing range up to 5XL ensures a comfortable fit for all team members. To maintain the professional look of the polo, we suggest layering it under a sweatshirt or softshell jacket during colder months, as the ribbed cuffs will keep the sleeves securely in place.
Caring for your product
To ensure the longevity of your garment and the vibrancy of your custom branding, it is vital to follow the care instructions precisely. Maintaining the fabric's condition is the best way to ensure your investment lasts.
Machine wash at 60°C. This specific temperature is required to properly sanitise the garment and break down oils or dirt. Washing at higher temperatures may degrade the polyester fibres, leading to premature wear.
Do not use bleach. Bleaching agents will cause the fabric colour to fade unevenly and can weaken the structural integrity of the polycotton blend, potentially damaging any embroidery or print applications.
This polo should not be tumble dried. High heat in a dryer can cause shrinkage and may distort the shape of the collar and cuffs. Instead, we recommend hanging the garment to air dry naturally. Avoid dry cleaning, as the harsh solvents can be detrimental to the fabric's lifespan.
If ironing is necessary, use a cool setting (one dot). Excessive heat from an iron can cause the polyester to glaze or melt, resulting in a shiny patch on the fabric that cannot be removed.
